A Tabor Academy senior football player's life was saved by an Apple Watch.  You won't believe who called him to talk about it.

Paul had just finished pre-season practice last week and started to feel pain in his back and chest while breathing. While this was happening his Apple Watch told him that his heart rate was at 145 which is very high. At first he thought something was wrong with the watch and started trying it on his friends. After realizing the Apple Watch's heart rate reading was accurate, he contacted his trainer who brought him to the health center then to the ER.

It turns out, he was so dehydrated that  his muscles started to break down and release a protein that is toxic into his blood stream which caused his heart, liver and kidneys all to begin shutting down. Thanks to the early warning sign from his Apple Watch, Paul hopes to be back on the football field to finish of his senior year season.

Every downfall has it's perks. After Paul was released from the hospital he got a phone call from Tim Cook. The Apple CEO told Paul that everyone at Apple is thinking of him and they wanted to make sure he was doing okay. Then Tim Cook offered Paul a new iPhone 6S Plus and an internship at Apple this summer.
