Massachusetts Ranked Top 10 for Quality of Life in the U.S.
Massachusetts recently made another list – this time, as one of the best places in the U.S. for quality of life.
It got me thinking, are we as lucky as they say we are?
We all know our state is America's healthiest; that's probably because we have the best health care providers, and that includes mental health, in the nation. We do also lead the country in worker protections.
Interesting little tidbit of information: did you know that only 2.6 percent of Massachusetts residents lack any kind of health insurance coverage?
Here I was thinking we had a decent quality of life because we lived by the water and have some of the best views Mother Nature could offer, and we have some of the best food options on the planet. That last part being my opinion, of course.
Keep in mind, our state shares eighth place on this list next to Virginia and Nebraska.
This is based off an article and study done by CNBC and it lends some credibility to neighboring states that come in at No. 2 (Maine) and No. 1 (Vermont).
What are they saying held our state from being higher on the list? Air quality and child care. I won't argue with the child care, but living next to the ocean I'd say we have pretty decent air quality relative to, say, New York.

Do you agree with this? I'm sure there may be a bit of bias if we look hard enough but personally I'd say we are pretty lucky to live in Massachusetts, aside from our sometimes brutal winters.
Do you think our state's place on this list is justified?
