Why Peak Corn Season Is the Silver Lining

The good news is that we are right in the middle of peak corn on the cob season. To me, the closer the corn on the cob is to your house when it's picked, the better that corn will taste. That's why I tend to go to the farm stands in the tri-town area.

Which Farm Stand Is a Mattapoisett Favorite

Mattapoisett townies know the farm stand on Acushnet Road is legendary. Not only can you get corn on the cob, but you can get delicious fresh vegetables there, too. New this summer is a place to take home fresh cut flowers to brighten up the kitchen.

The only corn in the tri-town that can give that farm stand a run for its money is Cervelli Farm in Rochester.

Whatever Happened to the SouthCoast's Best Kept Corn Secret

Unfortunately, the best corn on the cob I've ever had here on the SouthCoast is no longer. There was a guy that used to sell corn out of the back of his truck behind Shaw's supermarket in Fairhaven. If you are looking to close out summer with some great tasting corn, here are some of the most popular farm stands on the SouthCoast.
