I'm thinking this might be the reason I don't go on many dates.

I have been wearing a ring on the ring finger of my right hand for at least the past five years. I am constantly asked, "How long have you been married?" My immediate response is, " It's on the wrong hand for me to be married." Then I get told I could be European since they wear a wedding ring on the right hand.

I don't know how much truth there is to that. I have always thought that if you are married or even engaged, you wear the ring on your left hand. Am I wrong? Is there something I'm missing?

So now I'm paranoid that my struggle with the single life has been because everyone thinks I'm married.

I bought this ring to remind myself of the hard work I had achieved. You know it was some "self-love" and definitely on a day I needed some shopping therapy. It's one of the few "things" I have purchased that I don't have buyer's remorse over.

So the question is, what should I do? Or am I thinking too much about this and the right person will come along and be smart enough to know it's on the wrong hand? HELP!
