This Job Was for Me, and It Could Be for You, Too
I remember being in high school and college looking for the "cool" job. I'm glad I found an internship with Fun 107 that then became an awesome part-time job. Little did I know it would lead to an amazing career in the broadcast media industry.
You can imagine my excitement when I was told we had part-time openings in our promotions department right now. Being on the street team allowed me to meet so many people in the community, including business owners and public figures that I wouldn't normally get to meet. It was an extrovert's heaven. Oh, and let's not forget the perks of the job: getting paid to hang out talk to people, represent a brand, and well, everyone once and awhile getting tickets to concerts and meeting celebs that would come to the studio.
In case you were wondering, the first celebrities I met at Fun 107 were Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey. Yep, I was getting paid to make sure they had water and anything else they needed when they came to our Fairhaven studios.
The possibilities were endless. The skills I learned helped me in my life and my career. Now, I'm tasked with finding some street team members that love interacting with people and are excited to be a part of those SouthCoast staples, Fun 107 and WBSM.
So, maybe you are looking for a fun part-time gig for some extra money that doesn't involve driving around strange people in your car.
We are looking for high-energy people that take pride in their appearance and are not only reliable but also well-organized. If you have always thought about stepping into a broadcast media career than this may be the perfect first step for you.
