All of the SouthCoast Creameries Opening in Early Spring 2023
I noticed it was 40 degrees out as I ordered my iced coffee this morning. Warmer weather is on its way, and I am here for it! Winter is technically over on Monday, March 20, as that is the calendar's first day of spring. However, here on the SouthCoast, we basically consider the opening day of our favorite local ice cream parlors as a sure sign that spring has officially arrived. *Cue happiness*
We had to say goodbye to all of the SouthCoast ice cream parlors in October or November of 2022. We've all been trying to cope with store-bought containers of frozen goodness ever since. Thank goodness we won't have to worry about that too much longer.
We put together a list of all the local creameries that are celebrating their opening days in March and April of 2023. While there are only a little more than a handful of locations to visit by the end of April, it’s only a matter of time before all of our favorite spots are ready to welcome us again for delicious frozen treats. It’s usually between Mother's Day weekend and Memorial Day weekend that the rest of the ice cream parlors open for business on the SouthCoast.
See if your favorite shop is opening soon for the 2023 season. If you know of another creamery on the SouthCoast that is opening in March or April, please let us know. We will add them to our list as soon as possible.

Please note that Acushnet Creamery in Acushnet, Kool Kone in Wareham, Gone Country Creamery in Wareham, Dorothy Cox's Chocolates & Ice Cream in Fairhaven and Fall River, and Star Drive-In in East Taunton are all open year-round.
