New Season at Southwick’s Zoo Includes ‘Udderly’ Delicious Addition
As if there weren't already enough reasons to visit Southwick's Zoo in the spring and summer, this upcoming season will offer visitors a tasty new addition.
New England's largest zoo already has over 850 animals in naturalistic habitats, the Skyfari Sky Ride, Woodland Express Train, Soaring Eagle Zip Line, 35-acre Deer Forest, petting zoo and walk-through aviary. Now sweet treats are being served in a whole new way at this family favorite Mendon, MA zoo.
When opening day rolls around on Saturday April 13, 2024, Southwick's Zoo is going to be serving up ice cream unlike any other zoo around.
In a recent social media share, Southwick's Zoo announced the arrival of The Elm Farm Creamery. The first full creamery at a zoo that we can think of.

Of course along with a full creamery, comes a wide range of ice cream flavors. So not just a simple vanilla or chocolate soft serve, but full scoops in a multitude of flavors along with toppings, cones and handcrafted milkshakes.
No other zoo in the area is offering that many ice cream options, but it's almost no wonder Southwick's Zoo is the first to bring this to their zoo guests.

For years, Southwick's Zoo has offered full-service lunch and dinner options in their Galliford’s Restaurant & Tavern located right at the zoo. Now with the addition of The Elm Farm Creamery, guests can have lunch, dinner and dessert all during one visit.
It definitely makes the trip to this Mendon, MA zoo easier for Southcoast families, knowing you can feed the whole crew without packing an entire cooler for the trip.
We just hope the new creamery has fun zoo themed names for their unique flavors.
