I know it's only February and we just celebrated Valentine's Day this week, but I'm already looking forward to warmer weather. Winter is technically over on Sunday, March 20, as that is the calendar's first day of spring. However, here on the SouthCoast, we basically consider the opening day of our favorite local ice cream parlors as a sure sign that spring has officially arrived. *Cue happiness*

We had to say goodbye to all of the SouthCoast ice cream parlors in October or November of 2021. We've all been trying to cope with store-bought containers of frozen goodness ever since. Thank goodness we won't have to worry about that too much longer.

We put together a list of all the local creameries that are celebrating their opening days in February, March, and April of 2022. While there are only a little more than a handful of locations to visit by the end of April, it’s only a matter of time before all of our favorite spots are ready to welcome us again for delicious frozen treats. It’s usually between Mother's Day weekend and Memorial Day weekend that the rest of the ice cream parlors open for business on the SouthCoast.

See if your favorite shop is opening soon for the 2022 season. If you know of another creamery on the SouthCoast that is opening in March or April, please let us know. We will add them to our list as soon as possible.
