Licking Challenge Video Goes Viral, But Why? [VIDEO]

Nothing should surprise us now.

I don't mind most of these viral challenges. The Git Up Challenge is fun and doesn't harm anyone else. The karate kick to twist the bottle cap off, while difficult, is pretty cool and doesn't involve harming anyone.

A teen girl in Texas went viral last week when she posted a video of herself licking a tub of Blue Bell Ice Cream (which is really good if you haven't ever had it) and then placing it back in the freezer at the store.

I know. It's cringe-worthy to think this is actually happening and is a "thing." According to some news sources, this girl could get up to 20 years in prison for doing this or just have to pay a $10,000 fine.

It was pretty hard for me to go grocery shopping this weekend, especially wanting to pick up my favorite Halo ice cream. Guess it will help with the diet.

The licking has spread to tongue depressors in doctor's offices. Does seeing this viral "challenge" make you sick to your stomach like it has for me? Do you now pay closer attention to what you are buying at Stop & Shop or Market Basket now? I know I am!

Until I know this challenge is over and people are getting in BIG trouble for this, I'm not buying any more ice cream.
