Ballard’s Beach Resort on Block Island is a hot destination every summer in Rhode Island and it has unveiled a new summertime offering.

Going to Ballard’s is an experience. When you step off the ferry and make your way to the exclusive resort, you’re treated to a white, sandy beach, comfortable cabanas, and boozy cocktails that transport you to a tropical island.

There’s a new contender on the drink menu this season.

The 50-ounce mega mudslide has entered the chat, and people can’t stop talking about it.

The Newest Creation on the Drink Menu at Ballard’s

“Go big or go home,” the resort said online.

Go big, indeed. The new mega mudslide is 50 ounces of “mudslide bliss” topped with whipped cream, chocolate drizzle and a cherry on top.

Typically a combination of vodka, coffee liqueur, Irish cream and heavy cream, this mudslide will require two hands, a lot like the giant espresso martini at another Rhode Island spot.

Online users prepping for their next trip to the island seem to be watering at the mouth for this new item.

“Holy mother of mudslides,” one person wrote.

“I’m lactose intolerant but I’ll suck that mudslide down and gladly pay for the consequences later that night,” another joked.

Ballard's has become notorious for its craft cocktails served in fresh pineapples, but this mega mudslide may be the new star of the show.

Enjoy responsibly. Cheers!
