Summer is definitely in the air and lots of outdoor events are coming up!

The 14th Annual Torch Run for the Special Olympics will be held at Metro Collision Center in Johnston, Rhode Island TODAY!

This will be the opening ceremony to the Special Olympics State Summer Games at the Meade Stadium and is held in the name of Caitlyn M. Adler.

This is the 9th year Metro Motor Group has sponsored this awesome event and it'll be hosted by the Johnston Police Department. North Providence and East Providence police departments will also be there.

Registration begins at 4pm and the race starts at 7pm. The $30 donation will include a T-shirt, free food, live music and of course, running! All proceeds go towards the Special Olympics!

If it rains, the event will be held on Saturday, May 31st at 7pm.
