Take Out Your ‘Sunday Best’ [WICKED OR WHACK?]
I'm obsessed with new music, especially from musicians that are working hard to make it happen. This group calls themselves Surfaces and the song is called "Sunday Best."
We are in the heart of another cold winter and in need of some positive vibes and the two gentlemen of Surfaces are here to bring it with their tropical tempo-ed song.
The band consists of two guys, Colin Padalecki and Forrest Frank. Their creative process started by exchanging voice memos on their phones from different cities at times. Forrest is on the vocals and production and Colin is on writing and arrangements. They make the perfect duo. Both are from Texas.
The focus of this song is mental wellness. They want people to begin to focus on their mental health. Colin himself has struggled with mental illness and had this to say about his music: "I’ve had experience with anxiety and depression in my own life. Every time I write a song and reminisce, it makes me feel better about myself. We want to communicate that so the listener can channel those same emotions.”
The song is giving me some major spring and summer vibes. Take a listen and set the mood for yourself:
Did it make you think about the sand between your toes? No? I'm digging this one. Maybe it's the potential summer song? I guess that's up to you to decide. Is "Sunday Best" wicked good or totally whack?
