Our good friend Ally Brooke was willing to give up her chance at the Mirror Ball trophy for James Van Der Beek, and funny girl Kristen Bell is sarcastic in accepting her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Earlier in the week, Ally Brooke and her dance partner Sasha on Dancing with the Stars advanced to the finals during a very emotional night. James Van Der Beek was sent home and it was probably for the best because of the devastating news he received before Sunday and Monday night performances. His wife Kimberly suffered a miscarriage at the four-month mark and we can't imagine his mindset right now. He did thank his fans for their support on his Instagram.

Wrecked. Devastated. In shock. That’s how we’re feeling right now after the soul we thought were going to welcome into our family in April... has taken a short cut to whatever lies beyond this life. We’ve been through this before, but never this late in the pregnancy, and never accompanied by such a scary, horrific threat to @vanderkimberly and her well-being. Grateful that she’s now recovering, but we’ve only just begun unpacking the layers of this one. Thank you to all of our friends and co-workers (and dance partners) who have shown up for us so beautifully during this time. As many of you have said, “There are no words...” and it’s true. Which is why in a time like this it’s enough to know that you’re there. Grieving AND counting our blessings today.

Ally was in tears and inconsolable on Monday night but once she was able to process what had happened, this is what she had to say about how she truly wanted James to advance before her:

Just days before the opening of Disney's highly anticipated sequel Frozen 2, some of the stars have been added to the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Kristen Bell, who voices Anna, was very funny with lots of sarcasm yesterday at the ceremony. She was joined in getting the honor by her Frozen co-star Idina Menzel, who had a hit with "Let It Go" from the first movie.

Kristen also said while she's honored, receiving a star on the Walk of Fame won't be anything she thinks about at the end of her life. She is married to Dax Shepard and they have two kids, and they do a really good job with at keeping them out of the spotlight.

Frozen 2 will open Friday.

Martin Scorsese was on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night. Jimmy teased the "first-ever collaboration" between Marvel Studios and The Irishman director, with the superhero spoof Irish Man.
