At this point in her life, Katy Perry simply wants to focus on her career. The pop singer says that people constantly inquire about when she'll be having a baby.

In an article with Harper's Bazaar, Katy said many interviewers change her quotes regarding wanting kids. She said,  "When I do these interviews, a lot of these clips people pull out are like, ‘Katy Perry doesn’t want a man to have babies. I’m like, ‘I didn’t say that. I just said, I’m good.’ Why am I a baby machine? Why can’t I be a mogul?"

She says a typical family with husband and children are part of her future plans, but her career goals come first for now. "I want to have a baby, sure, but I want to have a career," she said. Katy says she plans to eventually have her own record label and looks forward to a successful tour.

She then said, "It’s like, get out of my ovaries, okay? I’ll do it in time.”

As a woman with a career myself, who also hasn't had children, I can totally relate.  Like Katy, I get asked constantly when I'll be having a baby.  I'm in my early 30's, so as I get older, the question comes more and more frequently.  I may have to steal Katy's 'get out of my ovaries' line, because it's just too awesome!  No one wants to be constantly asked when they are going to do something, especially when that something is a private, personal decision that shouldn't be rushed into.

It’s like, get out of my ovaries, okay? I’ll do it in time.

With all the things going on in her life, Katy says she doesn't really have time to find another man in her life after her recent break-up with singer John Mayer. She also said her divorce with comedian Russell Brand has helped her learn life lessons saying, "if you don’t have the foundation of self-love first, you really have nowhere to pull love from to give it away."
