A New Band Wants to ‘Make You Mine’ [WICKED OR WHACK?]
Why do we do "Wicked or Whack?" To share with you brand new music from your favorite artists, as well as introduce you to some new artists that are up and coming that you may not have heard of before.
Public is one of those that you may not have heard of. They are a band from Ohio and they are making some waves in the music world right now.
Public is made up of three friends that went to grade school together: John Vaugh, vocals and guitar; Matthew Carter Alvarado, bass and vocals; and Ben Lapps, who owns the percussion.
They all did their first show together at their high school talent show and since then have performed with acts like Twenty One Pilots and Walk the Moon. They are managed by Kevin Jonas, Sr. – yes, that's the Jonas Brothers' dad.
These three dudes are set up for success and hopefully you like their first radio single, "Make You Mine." If you missed hearing it on the radio, here is the lyric video:
The band has been getting plenty of love on the TikTok app and has made television appearances on MTV and some of the morning talk shows. Now, this is a matter of personal taste but the guys are pretty nice to look at, too. It's just the beginning for these guys and I anticipate big things in the coming years.
I'm digging the pop-rock sound and good vibes this band is putting out there. I really want to know what you think. Is this song wicked good, or totally whack?
