Would You Be For Or Against Beer And Wine At Bay Sox Games This Summer?

For some, this sounds great, right? A hot summer night in New Bedford watching baseball and drinking a cold beer or glass of wine would be great!

For others, not so much. Maybe it’s not a good idea to mix alcohol with sporting events on school property.

According to The Standard Times, the Bay Sox are seeking a license and wanting to sell beer and wine at the games this summer in a section of the Paul Walsh Field. The School Committee voted 4-3 in favor the proposal on Monday and now it will go before the City Council.
