Over the weekend, it took 20 minutes for Molly Schuyler, a 120-pound mom of four, to devour three 72-ounce steaks with triple the amount of fixings at the world famous, “The Big Texan” steak ranch in Amarillo, Texas.

Spectators came from all over to watch this record breaking performance in the “72-ounce Showdown”, in which Schuyler chowed down three 72-ounce steaks, three baked potatoes, three side salads, three dinner rolls, and three shrimp cocktails. Each meal adds up in weight to almost five pounds.

Schuyler, a Nebraska native who lives in Sacramento, California, finished her first steak dinner in 4 minutes and 18 seconds and crushed the restaurant’s record of 4:58, which she set on May 26, 2014.

According to Amarillo Globe-News, “We’ve seen a lot of things come through these doors but Molly ... she takes the cake ... she takes lots and lots of cake,” said a joking Bobby Lee, Big Texan co-owner.

For anyone who wishes to take the challenge, you have 60 minutes to complete the dinner and if you do it, guess what, it’s FREE! Otherwise, the meal costs a whopping $72.

Schuyler was awarded $5,000 for completing the challenge in under an hour, along with a $1,000 prize for the fastest eaten steak dinner, for a $6,000 total.  January 2014, she ate a record 363 wings in 30 minutes at a competition in Philadelphia and earned $22,000, and last year she ate the Big Texan Steak meal twice over in less than 15 minutes.

I wonder if big-time competitive eaters like Joey Chestnut, Takeru Kobayashi, or Adam Richman can finish this meal, never three of them.
