It's a very windy day in Massachusetts, and all across the state it's causing damage and turning office buildings into a real-life nightmare.

A good friend of mine who works up in Woburn was going about her daily duties at her office when the weather started to take a turn for the worse. Outside the wind was howling, knocking out power lines and yes, blowing up transformers. One power line could be seen sparking, the electricity leading to the building barely hanging on for dear life.

"It was wild," she told me.

Inside, the office lights were aggressively flickering on and off, creating an eerie scene, like something out of a horror movie.

"There were parts of the building so ominous and creepy, I thought the Texas chainsaw massacre was beginning," she said.

The wind started picking up heavily around 4 p.m., growing stronger outside and creating a worry amongst the staff in the building.

"The computers and electronics were all turning on and off and the front desk phone was like, calling repeatedly by itself," she said, still in disbelief at what she had witnessed.

Many at the office took out their cell phones and started filming the windy toll the lights were taken:

(Editors note: We added in the creepy music. Couldn't resist.)

"It’s even crazier in real life. The video doesn’t do justice at all," she said.

Everyone in the office was sent home early due to unsafe conditions just after about 45 minutes of the lights failing to stay on. This is definitely a scene from a thriller that no one wants to be a part of, and I'm glad I was far away from the situation when it was unfolding.

I don't know about you, but I'm ready for warmer weather and light breezes, thank you very much.
