Tiverton’s Yellow House Debuts Cozy Corner Bar
A Tiverton, Rhode Island bookshop is adding more life to its space. The Yellow House, a charming bookstore full of history, has created an area to sip, snack, read and relax.
"Corner Bar is our new addition, an intimate new bar/cafe space located in the back room of our bookshop. We have a curated, thoughtful selection of wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages available for sale alongside delicious pre-packaged snacks," owner Jai-Lee Egna said.

"We opened the store at the end of November 2024," Egna said. "We've envisioned the bar space since prior to opening the shop so it is exciting to have it finally be realized. We believe every town should have a bookshop and we wanted to create a space for neighbors and community to meet, connect, and learn."
Starting April 9, the community can do just that.
Corner Bar: Sip, Snack, and Relax
Corner Bar will be open Thursday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., offering self-serve cafe drinks and snacks during the day, and bar service starting at 4 p.m.

Community and Events at Yellow House
The Yellow House even plans to extend the hours in the summer and hope to have cocktail and food pop-ups.
"The space was previously a flexible event space we would set up for author talks and art workshops. We secured a liquor license and built out seating and a bar and now can have a more comfortable area for people to gather," Egna said.
Before opening, Corner Bar will host a preview week starting Wednesday, March 18.

We hope that people show up and attend an event, meet a friend for a drink, take a workshop."
