Baby name trends are changing all the time. Influenced by family, friends and pop culture, you never know what name will hit it big next.

Unless you're the Social Security Administration (SSA).

The SSA has released their official numbers for 2022 baby names and are letting everyone know what the most popular names were for the year.

The Social Security Administration is as official as it gets when it comes to baby names. Every child born in the United States needs a social security card, so the SSA needs their name.

After a year of social security card requests, the government agency calculates the names they received over the prior 12 months and create the official most popular baby name list.
