The 2013 Emmy nominations have arrived and at first glance, it's more of the same. Of course 'Breaking Bad,' 'Mad Men,' 'Homeland' and 'Downton Abbey' seem to be dominating the drama category! Of course '30 Rock,' 'Louie' and 'Veep' are contenders in the comedy category! However, the big surprise with this year's nominations is that one of the most nominated shows wasn't even on TV at all.
The internet was in an uproar last night when Diddy tweeted that he would become a recurring cast member on the stiff-upper-lip British drama 'Downton Abbey,' even though PBS was all "nuh-uh" and denied the whole thing.
But the erstwhile Puff Daddy wasn't lying. What he actually meant was that he was playing a cast member on a Funny or Die parody video about the lauded show.
Good work on
One of PBS' most iconic shows is having a bit of fun with one it's most recent successes. A lot of people watch 'Downton Abbey', but everyone in the world has seen Sesame Street. The popular kids show decided to spoof the hit show with a new take, where things are upside down - ton Abbey.
