AirBNB Wants to Make Your Downton Abbey Dreams Come True
If you are feeling lucky and love all things Downton Abbey a stay at the Crawley Castle could be yours.
You will have to have some serious mojo going on October 1st at 7 a.m. EST when AirBNB lists the castle where Downton Abbey was filmed for one night only.
Lady Carnarvon of Highclere Castle is going to let someone live out their dream of being a Crawley for just $160 a night.
That is seriously so reasonable for all that you would get if the booking is yours.
The AirBNB listing says the stay includes
an exclusive evening drinking cocktails in the Saloon followed by a traditional dinner with the Earl and Countess of Carnarvon in the State Dining Room, being waited on by Highclere Castle’s own butler. After dinner, coffee will be served in the Library before you retire to one of the Gallery bedrooms with an en-suite bathroom and views over 1,000 acres of rolling parkland
Then the next morning you get breakfast and a private tour of Highclere Castle’s extensive grounds.
You'll even leave with a gift from Lord and Lady Carnarvon. Sweet.
Of course to enjoy all of this you have to have some incredible luck.
Only one person can book this AirBNB offer. And you can't even express interest in a stay until October 1 at 7 a.m. EST.
Plus you have to have a verified Airbnb profile, positive reviews, be passionate about Downton Abbey and name your guest up front.
And after all of that you must stay overnight on November 26, 2019.
Honestly it all sounds worth it to me. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to stay at this iconic home.
Sadly I haven't used AirBNB nearly enough to qualify. With only one AirBNB booking in my life, I don't think I have a verified profile and I have no idea if I have any reviews.
I could still be someone's guest though. So anyone want to live out their Downton Abbey dreams with me?
