Stonyfield Frozen Yogurt Pearls Come To Boston Area [VIDEO]
Do you enjoy eating yogurt? Would you eat frozen yogurt in an edible container? I have to admit that I love yogurt, especially Greek yogurt with whole blueberries or passion fruit. However, I have never had the desire or inkling to eat the container.
According to PSFK, Gary Hirshberg, chairman of Stonyfield Farm organic yogurt, which is based in New Hampshire, he has been obsessed with packaging. "I’ve always believed we should use less. In fact, my ultimate obsession was when you finish eating the yogurt, you should eat the cup."
So after reading an article on WikiPearls, Mr. Hirshberg contacted David Edwards, creator of Wikifoods which is located in Cambridge, Mass. After much trial and error, Stonyfield Frozen Yogurt Pearls were born.
"These single servings of frozen yogurt come encased in an edible protective film made from natural food particles. Much like the skin of a grape, this protective layer keeps its contents moist and protected from contaminants" states Outside.
The Frozen Yogurt Pearls come in Strawberry-Vanilla, Strawberry-Chocolate, Peach-Vanilla, and Coconut-Chocolate. "For their first to-market test, Stonyfield Frozen Yogurt Pearls can be found exclusively at Whole Foods Market Fresh Pond (Cambridge), River Street (Cambridge), Charles River Plaza in Boston, and the new Lynnfield store," states Stonyfield Farm. This is another reason why my husband and I need to visit Cambridge soon!
