Here Are 40 SouthCoast Drivers Who Have Nicknamed Their Vehicles
Do people still give nicknames to their vehicles? That was the debate I had with my barber while she cut my hair.
I told her that I was convinced it's still a thing to give your car, truck, minivan, SUV or whatever it is its own name. She politely disagreed.
"Did you give your car a name?" she asked me.
Of course!
I pointed to the white Honda SUV outside the barber shop.
"You see that beautiful gal? That's Amelia, named after the famous Amelia Earhart."
My barber looked puzzled. I explained that I drive a Honda Pilot. Of course, Amelia was a pilot. Yes, it's a bit of a dad joke, but a mighty fine one.
I turned to my friends on Facebook and asked: "Do you name your vehicle and if yes, drop the name and vehicle type below."
