Road Closure in Acushnet This Week

Acushnet is making some exciting improvements but it could mess up your commute for a while.

You'll see new sidewalks along Lake Street this summer.  Currently, the road is very narrow which makes walking on it somewhat dangerous.

According to Acushnet DPW, if the weather cooperates, starting on Tuesday April 4th Lake Street at the Main Street and Middle Street locations will be closed to traffic weekdays during the hours of 8a-4p.  No word on exactly how long this project will take but be prepared for it.
