
Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski Share Honest Take on Patriots’ Top Pick Will Campbell
Patriots Nation has certainly seen better days. Players like Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski gave us jaw-dropping moments and confetti-filled celebrations that live in our hearts forever.
So what about the new guys? Did the New England Patriots gather some top talent to help their odds on the gridiron?
Edelman and Gronk sat down to discuss the incoming class and share their thoughts on top pick Will Campbell.

Who Is Will Campbell?
On April 24, 2025, thousands gathered at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin for the NFL Draft.
Selected as the Patriots' first pick and No. 4 overall, Campbell emotionally accepted his new jersey.

Campbell hails from Monroe, Louisiana. The All-American Offensive Tackle turned heads while playing for the LSU Tigers.
His All-SEC and All-American selections, paired with the trophy for top lineman in the SEC, make him a standout.
What Do They Think of Will Campbell?
"He's a country bumpkin," Edelman said as he and Gronkowski discussed the new addition on their Dudes on Dudes podcast.
He meant it as a compliment as the two touched upon the rookie's demeanor.
"His attitude for being the fourth pick is insane," Edelman added. "That's what you want. That's a building block of character."

"He's all about the team," Edelman added. "He wants the team to do well. He's willing to do anything for the coaching staff, for him to do his best job. He takes in coaching, which, that's a big thing for a top five pick."
Edelman and Gronk on the Field
Edelman played 12 seasons and won three Super Bowls with the team before hanging up his cleats in 2021.

Gronkowski was also part of the same three championship teams and played for nine seasons with the Pats before continuing his career in Tampa Bay.
Needless to say, Edelman and Gronk certainly know a thing or two about what it takes to make it in the NFL, and more specifically, with the New England Patriots.
