Recently-elected Patriots Hall of Famer Julien Edelman has had quite the career in New England.

The former wide receiver spent 12 years on the field at Gillette Stadium. While there, he assisted the team to three Super Bowl wins, earned himself a Super Bowl MVP honor, developed the JE11 brand and made us giddy when throwing an occasional quarterback pass.

Julian Edelman Enjoys Time in New England

Off the field, Edelman would spend time in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. He's recently recalled his time in the area on various podcasts including his own Games With Names and Dudes on Dudes.

A recent caller to the Games with Names podcast asked Edelman for some suggestions for an upcoming trip to Boston.

The caller, a South Carolina resident, will be up for a Red Sox game in June and wondered where to go, not go and overall advice.

Edelman was quick to provide an answer, sharing his dos and don'ts for a Boston trip.

Edelman mentioned a few nearby spots when around Fenway Park including the MGM Music HallLucky Strike (though Edelman referred to it as "the pool place") and Bleacher Bar.

"After the game, go to Hojoko, get a burger," Edelman said.

In South Boston, Edelman says hit up Lincoln and Capo. "Go down to Southie, have some fun. If you need a little nightclub action, hit the Seaport," he said.

Boston Don'ts

Edelman said there aren't many don'ts.

"Don't act like an idiot. Don't act tough, cause there's a city full of tough people there," he said. He noted people are pretty friendly, as long as you're wearing the right stuff.

"Don't wear a Yankees hat," Edelman joked.
