After a Wednesday night game to kickoff the NFL season, the New England Patriots will finally get a chance to change the conversation Sunday afternoon.

New England hosts the Pittsburgh Steelers at 1 p.m. at Gillette Stadium, and Fun 107 Patriots correspondent Nick Coit of Fox 61 in Hartford joined The MGM Show to preview a game that arrives after 10 long days of second guessing.

"We've had like 10 days to digest this whole thing," Coit said. "We've literally been sitting on that fourth quarter."

What Went Wrong Against Seattle

The Super Bowl rematch ended in a loss even after Sam Darnold went down five snaps in. Coit put the fourth quarter on Drake Maye.

"That was the takeaway for me, the struggles of your third-year quarterback and not being able to close out that game," he said. "I'm fully expecting a bounce back this week."

Coit said he did see progress. The offensive line was better and Will Campbell held up far more convincingly than he did in the Super Bowl.

Steelers Are a Good Bounce-Back Matchup

Pittsburgh arrives with 42-year-old Aaron Rodgers at quarterback and Mike McCarthy coaching, a combination Coit is not sold on.

"Aaron Rodgers can still make throws. You saw it last week. He can still move around a little bit, too," Coit said. "But he's not the same Aaron Rodgers."

Who Does Drake Maye Throw To?

With A.J. Brown out with an ankle injury, Coit expects Maye to go right back to Romeo Doubs despite a rough opener.

"The guy's been a good receiver in the NFL. Those things happen," Coit said. "I bet you they'll go to him."

He also expects a heavy dose of Mack Hollins, who pulled in a couple of fourth down catches against Seattle. TreVeyon Henderson has been a full participant in practice this week, which gives New England a one two punch with Rhamondre Stevenson that can control the pace of the game.

Nick Coit's Score Prediction for Sunday

"I'm gonna go 24-13, the New England Patriots," he said.

Stephon Gilmore Retiring as a Patriot

Stephon Gilmore, a Defensive Player of the Year and Super Bowl champion with the Pats, has announced he is retiring as a Patriot.

"It speaks volumes of the organization that is right in our own backyard," Coit said. "These people love it so much that when it comes time to close that chapter, they want to do it here."
