
Tears of Joy from Patriots’ First-Round Draft Pick
"I worked my entire life to be up here," Will Campbell said.
The 21-year-old out of Monroe, Louisiana fought back tears after being selected by our home team. He will be packing his bags and heading up north to play for the New England Patriots.

New England Makes Its Selection
Last night, the NFL Draft was held in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where hundreds of hopefuls waited patiently to see which team they would play for and where in the draft they would be selected.
The Patriots' rough season meant not a lot of wins, but at least they got an early selection in the draft.

New England had the fourth overall pick in the first round, making Campbell's dream to play in the NFL a reality.

A Dream Come True for Campbell
"Once I moved to O-line, there's nothing better than dominating the dude in front of you," Campbell said about his transition to offensive tackle during his time at Louisiana State University.
The LSU alum racked up many accolades throughout his time with the Tigers including being named a freshman All-American, a Jacobs Blocking Trophy and Second Team All-SEC honors.
Campbell's selection was a significant one. His selection from the Patriots made him their first offensive tackle to be drafted the the top 10 since Karl Singer in 1966.
Campbell Hopes to Make Big Impact
Fighting back tears when interviewed by reporter Jamie Erdahl, Campbell received cheers as he tried to put into words what it meant to him to be drafted.
"To be able to get my name called by a franchise like New England, it means everything to me," Campbell said.
