Since the beginning of 2020, I have been fortunate enough to be a member of the Fun 107 team, and for the past two years, I have been hearing about this huge feast that happens every summer.

“You would love it,” became the running phrase said to me when every event was being canceled due to the pandemic. Now, in 2022, I will finally get my chance to experience the Feast of the Blessed Sacrament for its 106th edition.

I couldn’t believe how disappointed and upset the SouthCoast was when The Feast was canceled in 2020 and then again in 2021. It was as if Christmas was canceled.

The more I hear about The Feast, the more I look forward to my first time attending it, but is it really as incredible as everyone makes it sound?

The headlining acts were finally announced for August 4-7, including a Led Zeppelin tribute band, a Journey tribute band, and many others sprinkled throughout the weekend.

As a first-time attendee, I’m asking SouthCoast for advice. What exactly can I expect at this grand celebration?

Some people have said the Madeira wine is the best part, while others say the fresh pops are the highlight. What is your favorite part?

And is it really as crowded as everyone says it is? Gazelle tells me that there will be a sea of people on the fairgrounds all weekend long. I can’t decide if that’s exciting or overwhelming.

I need the help of the OG event-goers. For a first-timer like myself, what will be the highlight of the 2022 Feast of the Blessed Sacrament?
