A New Bedford man has been accused of scamming Dell out of computers and TV's worth more than $30,000.

Police say Paul Marino, using several aliases, would order the electronics on-line and then call Dell to complain that the items were either damaged or not what he ordered.

Dell would then send him replacements with the agreement that Mr. Marino would return the unwanted items.  Instead, Dell says Marino would return old computer equipment, pieces of wood, and rocks instead of the new computers, and a piece of sheetrock instead of the television sets.

Marino's wife, Maureen Egan, was arrested during a raid this morning at their Plymouth Street home.  Marino turned himself into police shortly thereafter.

Earlier this month, Mr. Marino was charged for taking $68,000 from a homeowner in New Bedford for work that was never completed. That case is still pending.
