Monopoly Fans Choose The Cat and Toss The Iron

Scottie the dog has some new company in the game of Monopoly. This morning in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Hasbro announced that fans have voted to add a new cat token to the game.

The feline replaces the iron. The Facebook voting ended at midnight, and it was the first time fans of the game were asked to choose a new token. Besides the cat, other pieces that were up for vote were a robot, a diamond ring, helicopter and guitar. Monoploy games with the new cat token will go on sale later this year.
