Welcome to Rhode Island, home of the Good Burger.

Production for Good Burger 2 is well underway as Saturday Night Live star Kenan Thompson and the rest of the film crew have been spotted all over the state.

The most recent sighting was in Smithfield, where Thompson was seen working alongside another well-known celebrity.

American businessman, film producer, investor, philanthropist, writer and television personality Mark Cuban was seen on set, chatting it up with Thompson and excited onlookers.

Now, we are all left wondering. Is he producing the movie or appearing in it?

A popular online forum called “What’s Going On in Rhode Island” was on site for the shooting day, as film production completely overtook a side street in Smithfield. Camera rigs, lighting fixtures and crew members were congregated in the street, and in the center of it all, a well-dressed Thompson and Cuban.

According to IMDb, Dexter Reed (Thompson) is down on his luck after another one of his inventions fails. Ed (Kel Mitchell) welcomes Dex back to Good Burger with open arms and gives him his old job back. With a new crew working at Good Burger, Dex devises a plan to get back on his feet but unfortunately puts the fate of Good Burger at risk once again.

After reading the synopsis about the movie based off the popular All That sketch, I have some theories as to what Cuban’s role might be.

If Thompson’s character is an inventor, then Cuban has got to be his investor, right?

My prediction is that Cuban plays himself as the investor/manager of Dexter’s crazy ideas.

After his latest invention fails, Cuban gives Thompson's character an ultimatum: “Develop a successful product, or I’m out.”

Only time will tell as production rolls on in the Ocean State. I wonder where they will go next.
