Man Sets up Go Fund Me Account to Protect Betty White From 2016

Even without doing anything, Betty White managed to make headlines this week. 

South Carolina's Demetrios Hrysikos is the brain behind the trending campaign to save Betty White after 2016 claimed the life of yet another notable celebrity. The Go Fund Me page notes:

Help 2016 catch these hands if it goes anywhere near Betty White! If she's okay with it I will fly to where ever Betty White is and keep her safe till Jan 1 , 2017. Now, assuming she doesn't want a strange Greek standing gaurd outside her door all monies will be donated to the Spartanburg little theater to help craft new stars of stage and screen to carry mantle of the legends that have left is this year.

Hrysikos said he started the fund as a way to "try and put a smile back on some peoples faces and do some good". The money will be donated to SLT to "support and nurture new budding talent in our town."

The "Help Protect Betty White from 2016" fund has almost raised it's goal of $2,000.
