Simple Beauty: Part One

You may have heard me talk about how much I love makeup before. It's a passion of mine and my guilty pleasure.

I could spend hours in Sephora looking at all of the beautiful colors and products they have. I love doing makeup so much that a couple years ago I decided to get my certification as a makeup artist. I went to the Sara Faella Glam School and got my certification in 2013. Then in 2014, I took an online course, getting my certification from Trendimi. I do my own makeup on a daily basis, but I also work freelance and do makeup for brides, bridal parties, friends, special occasions or just for fun, too!

My friend Whitney also loves makeup, and is aspiring to have a career as a makeup artist. She's been doing makeup for years, first learning from YouTube tutorials, then practicing what she learned on herself and on friends. When she first delved into the world of makeup, she started small with drugstore makeup. Then, like me, she discovered the world of Sephora, and she was off and running. Sephora is a high end makeup store and to makeup lovers like Whitney and myself, it's like being a kid in a candy store! I truly get an overwhelming sense of joy, a makeup high if you will, anytime I set foot in a Sephora store. I would bet Whitney feels the exact same way.

We decided to join forces and create a small video series together called 'Simple Beauty', to teach you a little bit about the beautiful world of makeup!
