The SouthCoast Open Air Market has a program made for kids called SOAM Kid Biz. This allows for businesses owned and operated by children between the ages of seven and eighteen to participate in the market free of charge.

What is it like being a KID BIZ at SOAM? In a word, “Exciting”. I want people to know KIDS are makers too! I want to show that kids can create just like adults. When people think of knitting, they often think of their Grandmother. When people come to SOAM and see what my friends and I have created, we know we are changing their mindset. I love seeing the vendors and organizers at SOAM, everyone is so nice and welcoming! - Kitty Hilton, Knit1Gurls2.com, 14-years-old, East Bridgewater

The market does have a few spots left for Kids to join in the 2019 season. If you know a creative kid who would love to sell his or her creations, you can click HERE for a SOAM Kid Biz Application.

For the future business owners of the SouthCoast, don't forget to register for Lemonade Day, which will take place on Saturday, May 4. Kids become entrepreneurs for the day and run their very own lemonade stand. Click HERE for more information.
