Massachusetts Kids Are Getting a Brand-New Playground
Talk about a transformation! SouthCoast kids (and their parents) will be excited to hear that a brand new playground is almost complete in Westport.
A Major Playground Upgrade in Westport
Kids will soon be able to run, climb, swing and slide their way around Bicentennial Park.
Located near the Macomber School, Bicentennial Park is going through a major facelift that brings new playground structures and playing surfaces to the public. The first phase of the project is nearly complete as a majority of the playground has already been installed.
A rope climbing structure, swings and benches are next on the docket, as well as paving and a rubberized playing surface.

What’s Coming Next to Bicentennial Park
The second phase of the project will include a few more details. New fencing, signs, walkways and basketball court will put a finishing touch on the space.
That's not all. The Town of Westport is also in the process of searching for additional funding to add a skate park in the coming year.
