Ikea Recalls Safety Gates
Ikea has recalled nearly 80,000 child safety gates that proved to be not-so-safe.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission says Ikea has voluntarily recalled their PATRULL safety gates and safety gate extensions after dozens of injuries were reported.
The gates' locking mechanism can unexpectedly open, posing a falling hazard for children.
Already 10 injuries, including concussions, cuts and bruises have been reported.
Ikea says anyone with the safety gates or safety gate extensions are urged to stop using them immediately and return them to the store for a full refund.
