Crayola is about to introduce a new blue crayon, but wants the fans to name it.

The new crayon is based on a blue pigment accidentally discovered by scientists at Oregon State University in 2009 while experimenting with materials that could be used in electronics. The pigment is known as YInMn (yihn-mihn) blue.

Fans have until June 1st to submit their ideas for the crayon's name. Submissions can be made HERE.

The new blue crayon will replace the recently retired Dandelion.

As part of the yellow crayon's "retirement tour," you can also purchase a 64-count box of all Dandelion crayons or a 2 lb. Mega Crayon.
