Bacteria and Brides: Michael Faces Germ Fears at the Wedding Show
Fun 107 held our annual Wedding Show yesterday at White's of Westport where I was set up with my sound system to meet potential brides for my business. I was in the middle of meeting about two or three hundred brides about my DJ services when my chronic germophobia kicked in. I started thinking about how many hands I shook, and how many hands THOSE hands shook. My mind started racing. Gazelle suggested I offer a fist bump or an elbow, but clearly, I would be a freak show if I did that.
In the end, I was forced to face my fears. I sucked it up and shook everyone's hands. Honest to goodness, I loved meeting everyone, it's just that these stories about the flu were playing games with my head. Even if I escaped without catching the actual flu, there are stomach bugs and colds to worry about. Ain't nobody got time for a stomach bug.
I washed my hands multiple time throughout the day, and took a few sips of Purell for good measure! The incubation period for the flu is 1-4 days. So now, we wait. I know...I have problems! I know this. Watch our discussion about my germophobia issues in the video above.
