American Idol is Going Home [POLL]

It launched the careers of so many famous artists. Now the curtain will fall for the last time after 15 seasons. "American Idol" has announced that the FINAL season will begin in January of 2016.

Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Jordin Sparks, Scotty McCreery, and Phillip Phillips are just a few names to be discovered from the show. These artists owe their career to the talent search that is known as "Idol."

The talent show seemed to have peaked in ratings for the season 5 finale back in 2006. 36 million viewers tuned in to watch Taylor Hicks claim his victory. It was all downhill from there.

Current judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr. will continue to judge the contestants for the final season.
