During this feature, Clarkson shines a spotlight on local people, places and products that are doing great work across the country.
The Friday, April 4 episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show will feature a local man and his nonprofit organization that's making an impact on younger generations.

Rhode Island Nonprofit Helps Homeless Youth
At a young age, Nick Lowinger was inspired to create a change for homeless children in Rhode Island after he witnessed so many without shoes in a shelter.
"Some had to share footwear with a family member and missed school because it wasn’t their turn to wear the shoes that day, and others had sores on their feet from wearing shoes that didn’t fit them properly," Lowinger said.
He began donating his old shoes to kids in need. Years later, he started Gotta Have Sole, giving him the ability to donated new shoes to homeless youth.
Lowinger even earned the distinction of being named a "CNN Hero" in their annual awards when he was 15.
Gotta Have Sole Continues to Grow
"I continue this endeavor and have donated new footwear to over 100,000 children in homeless shelters across every state in the US. My goal is to reach as many children living in homeless shelters as I can," Lowinger said.
Nick and his nonprofit Gotta Have Sole have caught the attention of many, including American Idol alum and television host Kelly Clarkson.
She will be chatting with Nick about his good work and community impact during her "What I'm Liking" segment Friday, April 4.
You can watch The Kelly Clarkson Show weekdays at 3 p.m. on WJAR 10 in Providence or NBC 10 in Boston.
