Auditions are coming to both Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Here’s how to take advantage of them.
How to Audition for ‘American Idol’
“Idols Across America” kicked off July 31st and has made its way to the East Coast. Virtually, that is.
Potential stars can sign up online for a virtual audition with one of the show’s producers and hopefully make it to the televised rounds in front of this year’s judges.
Rhode Island and Massachusetts singers can sing their hearts out on Monday, September 9th.
There is also an open casting call for the East Coast on Tuesday, September 17th.
Go the extra mile, and submit a video audition online ahead of the try-out.

Eligibility Requirements
You must be born on or between June 2, 1995, and February 15, 2010. You are not eligible to participate this season if you were born before or after this window.
You must be a legal US resident and be authorized to participate in the entire competition.
Have you won American Idol before? Sorry, you can’t participate again.
You cannot have any contractual arrangements that would prohibit you from fully participating in the show.
You cannot currently be a candidate for public office and must agree to not become one until one year after the initial exhibition of the final episode of the season.
If you have any immediate family members working for the show, you cannot participate.
You must accurately complete all documents provided by the producer.
