25 SouthCoast ‘Hole In the Wall’ Restaurants You’re Missing Out On
One of the best perks we have here at Fun 107 is our duty to eat at our local restaurants. Every time we have a Seize the Deal with a local restaurant it is our responsibility to visit that restaurant with a gift card so that we know what we are talking about when we are on the air. The more Seize the Deals we do with a restaurant, the more familiar we are with it, which is beneficial to both the client and listeners (and us, if we're being honest).
First World Problems
Don't get me wrong. This is a labor of love and it's something that I cherish doing. It's a chance for me to meet so many different restaurant owners, servers, and customers.
That being said, we've eaten at a ton of terrific restaurants across the SouthCoast. However, we thought it would be fun to shine a spotlight on some of the lesser known restaurants on the SouthCoast. We asked our audience for "hole in the wall" restaurants that the SouthCoast is missing out on.
What We Mean By Hole in the Wall
Gazelle had some concerns about "hole in the wall." To be clear, when we are using the term "hole in the wall" it is nothing but complimentary. The term is meant to be interchangeable with "hidden gem" or "underdog."
Restaurant Spotlight
It's funny, some of our audience members were hesitant to share their favorite spots. "If you tell everybody about these places it will ruin it for us," said one woman. We all laughed. "I'm only half-joking," she followed up.
In the end, we got hundreds of suggestions to try some of the SouthCoast's best unknown eateries. We narrowed the list down to the Top 25 according to the number of suggestions each restaurant received. One is tucked away inside a gas station!
