Rhode Island Restaurant Makes Yelp’s Top 100 Best Brunch Spots in the Country
Millions of diners every day flock to Yelp to discover the best restaurants in the area. From the best-kept secrets to the worst of the worst, it all can be found on the food search engine.
With Mother’s Day right around the corner, searches for the best brunch spots have seen an uptick, and the dining review database has compiled the ultimate list of the best brunch spots in the country.
And good news. A spot in Rhode Island has made the list, and they are still accepting reservations (for now).
Yelp Identifies the Top 100 Brunch Spots for Mother’s Day
Yelp identified businesses in the Breakfast and Brunch category with a large concentration of reviews mentioning “brunch”, then ranked those spots using a number of factors such as the total volume and ratings of reviews mentioning brunch. For geographic diversity, the list included only ten businesses per state for geographic diversity.
Out of 100 restaurants, only one represents the Ocean State.
The Shanty Makes Yelp’s Top 100 List of Best Brunch Spots
Coming in at 89 out of 100 is a small restaurant with big flavor called The Shanty. The Shanty in Warwick, Rhode Island is a modern American restaurant that pairs local, farm-fresh ingredients with a large variety of craft brews, classic cocktails, and a cozy atmosphere that encourages guests to pull a chair and stay awhile.
Abby Petrangelo has been the manager of The Shanty for the past two years and believes the restaurant’s creativity is what attracts locals and visitors the most.
“We serve traditional items with a twist,” she said. “It’s American but we take inspiration from all different cultures. We are so excited to make the list, it’s a big accomplishment and we’ve been waiting for this moment.”
For the past nine years, the buzz around The Shanty has not subsided, and its 4.5 stars on Yelp show that people cannot get enough of the eclectic menu and cozy vibes.
According to Petrangelo, their sweet soy wings and yam fries are a must-try.
The good news is that The Shanty is still accepting Mother’s Day reservations. The bad news is availability won’t last long.
Treat Mom to one of the top brunch spots in America this year and get that reservation in while you still can.
