A woman from Florida came face-to-face with a 7.5 foot alligator.

Little did she know that she was in for quite the scare of her life.

Lori Beiswenger quickly discovered that the 7.5 foot alligator had her beloved dog in his jaws, trying to eat it alive.

According to Scripps Media.com, Beiswenger took her 9-year-old mixed terrier dog outside to the family owned golf course in Inverness, Florida.

A short while after, Beiswenger heard a scream that she would never like to hear ever again in her life.

She then turned around to spot a gigantic alligator pulling her dog Hope into the water.

Beiswenger started to scream for help, but no one responded. She then jumped into the water and pulled the gator’s tail three times. On the third time, the gator turned and looked back at her.

That’s when Beiswenger got out of the water and Hope was still in the gator’s mouth slowly traveling under the water.

Finally, a golf course volunteer, Jodie Daniels, came running over after she heard the dog squealing in pain trying to hold on for dear life.

Daniels tried to reach Hope with a golf club, but that could not work, so Beiswenger brought over a shovel.

That’s when Daniels hit the gator on its head with the shovel. Then, the gator released Hope from its mouth and swam away.

Hope was then rushed to the vet where she had a three-hour surgery.
