Why I Need to Get to the Beach This Weekend

Some warmer weather is heading our way this weekend and I am going to need to use it to get to the beach.

I don't know how it happened, but somehow I have gone this entire summer without going to the beach. Not once. Not even for a second.

How did I go an entire summer season without sticking my toes in the sand? Growing up with ocean so close by I honestly can't remember a summer where I didn't go to the beach at least once.

Somehow with family get togethers, holiday weekends, birthday parties galore and mini vacations I never actually got a beach day. Dang.

But to let this season go by without making it happen just doesn't seem right.

Luckily Mother Nature is giving me one more chance. And with fall not technically starting until Monday September 23rd, I can still say I went to the beach this summer.

Now I just have to figure out where to go.

Usually with an entire summer of beach trips to choose from I'll go to a few. But with just one day to make my summer complete, only one SouthCoast spot gets a visit.

So where do you think the best beach would be?

Something small where not too many people may be hanging out? A bigger beach where the kids can go nuts playing in the sand? Or perhaps most important, something in close proximity to food so an after beach snack can happen.

So with just one beach weekend left in summer 2019, where would you want to go?
