Another heat wave has descended upon the SouthCoast.

With temperatures climbing up into the 90s, towns across the SouthCoast have been providing resources such as cooling centers to keep community members cool and safe.

YMCA SouthCoast branches will open their doors today, July 16, until Wednesday July 17, as designated cooling centers.

No matter your current situation, all are welcome at the following four branches between 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

You do not need to be a YMCA member to stop by and cool off in the Welcome Center. When you arrive, check-in at the Welcome Center desk.

In addition to cooling centers, remember to stay hydrated and check on your friends, neighbors, and family as temperatures continue to rise.
