Three years in a row, the color white has taken over car's paint palette globally according to a survey done by PPG.

Until 2011, silver dominated for ten years before being dropped down to the number four spot. Universally, 28% of cars bought were white with black coming in at 18%, 13% for silver and grey, gold, beige and yellow coming in at 10% and red with 9%.

Here in America, the most popular colors goes from white, to black, to gray and then silver."Natural hues" like gold, beige and yellow is now in the 10% in America, especially in the SUV department. Silver is still in third place globally but is seeing a decline within the recent years and will soon be taken over by red, blue and green.
