What’s the Deal With This Weekend’s New England Storms?
It's been a pretty quiet winter here on the SouthCoast. Just last week I wondered whether or not we may see a complete winter without snow? That dream looks like it will be shattered this weekend. We talked to Chelsea Priest this morning to get her take on what to expect.
We'll probably see every type of precipitation possible. -- Chelsea Priest, ABC 6
FRIDAY: Chelsea says we'll see a little snow on Friday (maybe a coating to an inch). The snow will transition to rain, but the timing is tough because of the morning commute. The snow will, however, turn over to rain pretty quickly.
SUNDAY: We are looking at a bigger storm Saturday night into Sunday. Chelsea says, "We'll probably see every type of precipitation possible." There will be some accumulating snow Saturday night into Sunday, switching over to a mix early Sunday morning, then transitioning to heavy rain during the day on Sunday. Then, the storm will wrap up Sunday night with a BLAST of crazy cold air, which will turn the precipitation back over to snow and freeze everything over Sunday night into Monday.
MONDAY: We'll wake up Monday morning to a lot of ice with some snow on top of it. We'll see temperatures close to the single digits Monday morning.
